Peddle Review — And Why We Send Them Business

We should declare this immediately: Peddle is our partner. When a car is too rough for our dealer network, we route it to them and we are paid for the referral. That is exactly why this review is worth reading — we have no reason to tell you they are bad at something they are good at.

Referral partner — disclosed Best for junk and non-runners Where we are better Updated October 2026

The disclosure, first

Peddle pays us when we send them a car. You should weigh everything below knowing that.

Our model splits incoming cars by condition. Vehicles in good or excellent shape go to our dealer network, where franchise stores bid against each other. Vehicles in poor or fair condition — non-runners, high-mileage, wrecked, salvage title — go to Peddle, who make an instant offer and collect the car.

We earn a referral fee on that hand-off. We are telling you because the FTC expects material connections to be disclosed, and because a review that hides its incentive is worthless. Read on with it in mind.

What Peddle is genuinely good at

For the cars they specialise in, they are hard to beat, and we would not route business to them otherwise.

What to watch for

The price can change at pickup. This comes up repeatedly in reviews. The driver inspects the car on collection, and if the condition differs from your description — you said it runs and it does not — the offer can be adjusted. The defence is simple: describe the car accurately and pessimistically. An honest description produces a number that survives contact with the tow truck.

Payment is usually a company check, not cash. Peddle does not guarantee cash. Some reviewers report difficulty cashing checks at their own bank. If you need same-day cash in hand, ask before you accept.

Pickup timing varies. Collection runs through third-party carriers, and reviewers consistently name scheduling as the weakest part of the experience.

Some cars are excluded. No motorcycles, RVs or boats, and they do not buy vehicles with an active loan on them. If you still owe money, see selling a car you still owe money on first.

Title rules are situational. Sources differ on how often they buy without a title — some say an older vehicle can use alternative paperwork, others say proof of ownership is required. Confirm for your specific car rather than assuming.

When you should use Peddle instead of us

Straightforwardly: when your car is worth less than about $1,500, does not run, or has a salvage title.

At that end of the market our model adds nothing. Franchise dealers do not bid on a 2007 sedan with a blown engine, so getting several of them to compete produces several declines. Peddle's instant algorithmic offer is both faster and, for that car, better.

We would rather tell you that in one paragraph than take you through a photo upload that ends in nobody bidding.

When we are the better answer

When the car still has real value. A running vehicle in decent condition, roughly 2015 or newer, is worth putting in front of franchise dealers who will compete for it. That is where a bidding process earns its keep and an instant algorithmic offer leaves money behind.

When the fault is specific and the car is late-model. A 2022 vehicle with one known mechanical problem is worth far more to a dealer with a service department than to a salvage buyer pricing it as parts.

Not sure which side of the line you are on? The estimate will tell you in about ten seconds, from a VIN and a mileage reading, and it costs nothing. If it comes back low, take that as your answer and go to Peddle directly — you do not need us in the middle.

Common questions

Is Peddle legit?

Yes. Third-party summaries report a Trustpilot rating around 4.7 across roughly 210,000 reviews and an A+ BBB rating with accreditation since 2013. They have been operating at scale for over a decade. We partner with them and route cars to them, which is a commercial judgement about their reliability as well as an endorsement.

Does Peddle really pay what they quote?

Usually, provided your description was accurate. The driver inspects the car at pickup and the offer can be adjusted if the condition differs from what you entered. Price changes at collection are the most common complaint in reviews, and the most common cause is an optimistic description.

Will Peddle buy a car that does not run?

Yes. Non-running, wrecked and salvage-title vehicles all qualify, and towing is included at no cost. This is the core of what they do and the main reason we send cars their way.

How does Peddle pay?

Usually by company check handed over at pickup. Cash is not guaranteed, and some reviewers report trouble cashing the check at their own bank. If you need cash in hand the same day, confirm before accepting.

Do you get paid for sending me to Peddle?

Yes. Peddle pays us a referral fee when a car we route to them completes. We disclose it because the FTC expects material connections to be disclosed and because a recommendation with a hidden incentive is not worth much. It is also why we tell you plainly when they are the better option for your car.

Should I use Peddle or get dealers to bid?

It depends almost entirely on the car. Under roughly $1,500 in value, non-running, or salvage title, Peddle is usually the better and faster answer. A running car in decent condition, roughly 2015 or newer, is worth putting in front of competing dealers. Our estimate will tell you which you have in about ten seconds.
